Better Together

We are pleased to introduce better together, the inaugural Annual Campaign to support the Campus agencies (the Shaw JCC of Akron, The Lippman School, Jewish Family Service of Akron, and the Jewish Community Board of Akron), as well as our work in the local and global community. We wholeheartedly believe that we are better together. For generations, the Schultz Campus agencies have buoyed the hearts, health, and spirits of those in Greater Akron and throughout Summit County. 

 

Last year brought unprecedented challenges to us all personally and professionally. On Campus, it created an urgency to bring heightened creativity to our programs and innovation to our fundraising. Historically, independent fundraising appeals were sent separately by the Shaw JCC, Lippman, JCBA, and Akron's Jewish Family Service. Now, donors who support multiple Campus agencies can simply send one check or make one online combined donation – hopefully, at the same or increased level, they gave to Campus agencies combined last year. Of course, if you have always made your gift to one of our Jewish agencies, you are welcome to continue to do so. The total fundraising need is $1.6 million. The better together campaign aims to allow the Shultz Campus agencies to be more agile and responsive to the rapidly changing and increasing needs of our community. The agencies' leadership and we believe that achieving this goal will require a $1.6 million campaign goal. 

 

By making an unrestricted donation to better together, you will help fulfill our ongoing promise to provide for, and enhance:

o social services

o Holocaust survivor care

o early childhood learning

o k-8 education

o community engagement

o older adult services

o wellness, fitness & recreation

o Jewish life in our community.

o National & international Jewish issues

 

But the impact does not stop there – through our relationship to the Jewish Federations of North America, we also support social services and community building efforts in Israel and 70 countries around the globe.
