Dear Families –
What does a multicultural education steeped in Jewish Core Values look like? At The Lippman School, it provides individual focus with a global perspective. It means students think as individuals who learn in a collaborative and compassionate community where the universal values of honesty, respect, inclusiveness and repairing the world are central. It means students learn in classroom spaces that encourage exploration and emphasize experiential learning. Lippman students are critical thinkers and problem-solvers. They lean into curiosity through research, reasoning and immersive experiences. The Lippman School is more than just a school—it’s a dynamic community.
At Lippman, we understand the importance of having a supportive environment which nurtures students’ academic and social-emotional well-being. Our school is a place where students are seen, understood, appreciated, and celebrated. We foster an inclusive landscape, where students can connect with peers who share similarities and differences, form lasting friendships, and thrive in a community that celebrates their unique abilities.
Our curricular approach focuses on developing applicable, real-world learning that creates opportunities for authentic, immersive experiences. Through partnerships in the local and wider community, teachers develop meaningful learning for students that provide tangible ways to engage with others and gain knowledge and skills that have real-world application.
We have partnerships with Native American people and tribes, community organizations focused on history, art, science, and culture, international communities in Israel, China and Mexico. We have curriculum that focuses on Indigeneity, justice pedagogy, and antiracism. Our students begin learning a second language in Kindergarten – Hebrew or Spanish. Our students take field trips, including overnight and international experiences beginning in 5th grade.
We also believe that education is a partnership between the school, parents, students, and guardians. We value open and transparent communication, fostering a strong connection between home and school. We actively involve parents in their child's education through regular updates, newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and whole community experiences. Together, we work towards maximizing each student's potential.
For the past 60 years, Lippman has offered an education like no other. If you are interested in giving your child this unique learning environment, we invite you to come for a tour and get to know us. We hope you are excited about the possibility of having your child learn in an environment where there are unlimited opportunities, with a community and learning experience like no other!
