Teacher Honored For Contributions To Jewish Welfare Fund

Ellen Moss, has been teaching Hebrew at the LIppman School for many years, was honored yesterday with the Jewish Welfare Fund Annual Campaign Pomegranate Award.

The Pomegranate Pin Award was introduced in 1981 for women whose gift to the Annual Campaign is $1,500 or more.

A gift to the 2014 Centennial Campaign directly supports local Jewish programming and services provided by the Shaw JCC, Jewish Family Service, and The Lippman School.

It also helps campus Hillel’s at Kent State and the University of Akron, teen programming, the Akron Jewish News, local community relations activities, four Akron Jewish cemeteries, as well as at-risk Jews in Israel and around the world.
